ACC Predictions Week 7
By David Droschak on Friday, October 12, 2007 12:05 PM
My upset special of the week was taken Thursday night when Wake Forest dumped Florida State. I felt the Demon Deacons would win outright, not even needing the six points they were getting as a home dog, and I was correct. Just as I was the last week weeks with my upset picks of Georgia Tech over Clemsona and North Carolina over Miami. I've gone to Plan B since the Deacs played Thursday night, but I also feel strongly about my selections below. And of special note, I'm on somewhat of an unusual hot streak. I was 7-0 last weekend picking ACC games on my Saturday morning radio show.

In the Sept./Oct. issue, my article on the best college quarterbacks since 1958 has caused a bit of an uproar with some fans who think I got it all wrong. Sifting through a list of potential candidates in order for SportsUnlimited to name the top 10 at arguably the most important position on the field was a larger chore than first anticipated. Of course, stats played a major part in the subjective ranking, but intangibles were also heavily factored into the equation, such as a player’s affect on the sport, how he influenced his college program, play in big games, national titles, etc.
